Currently there are no cures for fibromyalgia. You simply manage the condition the best you can - with any helpful methods, whether allopathic or otherwise.

There are some physicians that believe that by resetting your system to learn how to get restful sleep, by eating healthily, and partaking in physical therapy to manage trigger points - you may be more successful than by layering medication on top of medication. They theorize that since fibromyalgia is a condition where the central nervous system has become unhinged, dumping more CNS altering drugs on top of that will not assist in forcing the condition into any form of retreat.

No it can't. It is a chronic illness which, so far, has no cure. Of course, there are lots of companies trying to make pills and what not to cure it, but none have been successful. The only aspect of 'healing' that you can do is rigorous rehabilitation therapy.

Fibromaylagia is treatable, however it is not curable. Some of the options for treating Fibromyalgia include dietary changes, exercise, supplements and prescription medication. It is important that the patient find the best combination of treatment options for their individual situation.

There is currently no known cure for Fibromyalgia, however there are many treatments that have been found effective to reduce or eliminate some or all of the associated symptoms. In addition to medical treatments, many have found symptom relief through diet changes and / or alternative medical therapies.

There are several medications now marketed to treat Fibromaylgia and others that doctors prescribe off-label. Typical medication treatment includes a combination of muscle relaxers, anti-depressants, and neuropathy drugs. In addition to medication, most doctors will encourage their patients to maintain a regular low-impact exercise program. While this seems extremely difficult when dealing with chronic pain and fatigue, it is very beneficial to keeping the blood flowing properly and can greatly reduce your symptoms.

Many Fibromyalgia sufferers are finding that their symptoms are greatly relieved by adopting a gluten-free diet. While only a small portion of people are diagnosed with gluten Allergies, it is believed that a much larger number of people suffer from what is considered an intolerance to gluten. Those who suffer from a food intolerance do not have typically have immediate reactions to those foods. Instead, they will likely develop symptoms 24-48 hours after eating the food they are intolerant to. Those reactions can range from digestive issues to extreme muscle pain and fatigue. Others have found that adopting a "clean eating" diet, removing all packaged and processed foods and cooking only whole natural foods from scratch reverses their symptoms. This may be due to the large amounts of MSG found in packaged and processed foods.

Other alternative treatments that are often helpful include massage, acupuncture or acupressure, rolfing, and Myofascial release. Most of these work to help release the Fascia, which is a layer of connective tissue under our skin. This Fascia tightens up over time and even forms knots that you can feel under your skin. It is believed that this tightness is what causes a great deal of the pain that Fibromyalgia patients suffer from.

Despite the lack of a current cure for Fibromyalgia there are ways to help yourself feel better, but it is a matter of trial and error to determine what works for you. The important thing is that you don't give up hope and that you keep trying something until you find your best treatment plan.

If you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, you are not alone. Like you, other people with fibromyalgia may find it difficult to do simple tasks. To help you feel better, you and your healthcare provider may need to change your daily habits and routines.
