Yes it depends what kind of vehicle you drive as to where the fuse is located.
check the fuses.
Check the fuses, if fuses are okay, it is probably the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) or wiring to it at fault.
Your speedometer may have failed, or the speedometer cable that connects to the transmission, or the plastic gear in the transmission may be broken.
The VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is located on the transmission. If the speedometer is not working, it is rarely the VSS causing the problem. I would first check fuses and the ECU
It does not have a speedometer gear. The speedometer is electronic and gets its signal from the ABS and transmission computers from the wheel speed and transmission speed sensors. It does not have a speedometer gear. there is a speed sensor on your transmission, probably about 15 bucks, and easy to replace, try there, but first check your fuses.
possibly a bad/broken speed sensor located on the transmission
check fuses
The back of the speedometer and the tailshaft of the transmission.
on the transmission
try checking out your circuitry and looking for a break.... a little solder should do the trick.... hope that helps
The VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is probably bad. Also check the fuses.
