Pontiac does not use an inertia fuel cut off switch.

User Avatar

I dont understand, is your car overheating or do you think your switch is overheating? Switches do not overheat, if they become hot to the touch there is a grounding problem which would have most likely blown a fuse at some point.

The main switch for the 97 Bonneville is above the Rear view mirror. There is a toggle switch that you turn them on with. Headlights low beam may have to be on for them to operate

if engine will not turn over, check fuses first. then check battery, starter motor, starter motor solenoid and ignition switch

my 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI has speed control and it is located on the blinker control switch on the end you have to push it towards the steering wheel it is a little button on the top then to set it you have to push it in more while holding your speed. It works as low as 25 mph. I have found that mine does not always work because my car is 16 years old. I hope this helps you.
