∙ 17y agostarter relay would be the starter solenoid and it will be mounted on the fender about one foot from the battery in-line to the starter there is a starter relay on a 95 cavalier it is located on the top of the rad support this is not a Ford with a starter solenoide a foot away if you have trouble finding the relay look on the starter and see if there is a ground wire attached to it and if so follow it up to the relay

The 1986 Chevrolet Caprice starter relay switch is located in the fuse box. The relay switch is the first large switch on the right hand side of the fuse box.
The 2001 Chevrolet Tracker starter relay is mounted on the top of the starter. The relay switch is attached to the starter with two retaining screws.

The 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier brake relay switch can be found below the dashboard, on the drivers side of the passenger compartment. The brake switch simply plugs in and out.
Integrated into the starter.
The starter relay is located on the radiator support on the battery side of the van. I have included a link (see below) that shows this location. You will find a drawing at the very bottom of that page.

where is the starter relay located??
The 1984 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.0 liter engine fuel pump relay can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The fuel pump relay will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
The right person to ask would be either someone who owns a 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier or a mechanic at a Chevrolet dealership. This question is too complicated to answer in a simple manner.
