Alabama has a long list of felonies, including murder, with no set statute of limitations. Only one state has set a statute of limitations on murder. The statute is met once an indictment or warrant is issued, regardless of whether it can be served immediately or not.

If it is considered a felony and a death resulted I believe Alabama has removed the limit. Otherwise it would be 3 years. You will need to consult an attorney in Alabama.

Alabama likes to protect its citizens. It has no statute of limitations for crimes involving use or threat of violence. You could be charged at any time during your life for this crime.

What is the statute of limitations on attempted murder in ga?

There is no statute of limitations on filing a charge such as that. HOWEVER - the sooner, the better, time is of the essence! The next time, the attempt may not fail. ALSO - the longer you wait to report such a serious crime the more doubt law enforcement may have about the truthfulness of your story. Sorry... but THAT's a realistic fact!

What is the minimum sentence for attempted murder on a police officer in Alabama?

Alabama does not like physical crimes. They have set the statute of limitations at 8 years for crimes of this nature. And it is very likely going to be tolled for a number of reasons, including being out of state.

What is the statute of limitations on attempted murder in South Carolina?

It depends on the details of the offence. Was the person raped during the course of the attempted murder? - if so, no limitation date applies. Also, when the person eventually dies, if the autopsy shows that the death was in anyway causally related to an old injury (caused by the attempted murder), which could be a simple infection, then the death will be found attributable to the attempted murder and changed to a murder charge and thus no limitation applies. Hope this helps.
