Another Perspective
Magic - to those of us who practice it as part of our personal spiritual path - is the manipulation of naturally occurring forces/powers by the will and hand of an ethical (hopefully) practitioner.
Two old adages that are quite relevant would best answer the question:
- Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic;
- [A large proportion of] magic merely consists of know ing one extra fact.
No there isn't, but there is such a thing called an illusion though, and some people are really good at it. Magic is just an illusion to the eye.
If you believe in magic then keep on believing, there's nothing wrong with that. People say there's no such thing as magic, there's a way around everything. If you disagree, then you disagree. It's ok to believe in something that no one else believes in; I for one believe in magic, no one can stop me.
