How do you disconnect electrical outlet from the light switch?

If the switch just controls the outlet you would remove the switch and just wirenut the wires that went to each side of the switch together. Put a blank switch plate to cover the box. If the switch controls outlet and something else you need to determine if there is a seperate direct connection to each and then remove the outlet connection and wirenut the black lead to the outlet directly to the black lead on the supply side of the switch.
