I don't believe so.......................
Yes and no. The. 40 S&W is not interchangeable with the .357 Magnum, if that's what you had in mind. Most .357 Sig pistols can, however, but a .40 barrel will have to be dropped in in place of the .357 Sig barrel.
Possibly- many are interchangeable- but you will also need to change recoil springs. For a definitive answer, check with S&W- 1-800-331-0852 (USA) Mon-Fri 8:00AM-8:00PM Eastern Time
No. Only shoot the caliber printed on the barrel.
Yes, you can fire a .357 Sig round (not a .357 Magnum) in it, but you must first change out the .40 barrel for the .357 barrel.
The majority of 1911 models fire the .45 cal ACP. HOWEVER, there are several 1911 variations available, ones that shoot: .22LR, .32, .380 ACP, 9mm, 10mm, 40 S&W and others. On the weapon (typically on the barrel), the metal is stamped with the correct caliber to be used with that particular weapon.
No. The 9mm is not compatible with the .40 caliber frame/slide. On the other hand, you can put a .357 SIG barrel into a Glock 22 and use your .40 magazines.

That is not slang - 40 cal stands for 40 calories, which is a nutrition measurement.
first, problem won't happen. the 9mm case might fall down the beretta barrel. the 40 cal. is a larger case then the 9mm. so, you can't fire a 9mm in a 40 cal nor a 40 cal in a 9mm barrel...........your safe....... Well, I did it! The 9mm was picked up by the receiver and fed into the barrel. It fired but the extractor could not extract the swollen cartridge. I have reason to believe the bullet bounced down the barrel and tumbled on its way to the target. BUT...what COULD have happened?!?! The worst that would likely happen is a major case rupture which could result in you missing a hand and your eyes. Theres a very good reason they stamp the caliber on the side of firearms.
