Given the nature of Hollywood for the last 30 years, more or less, there will most likely be another visit by these 'friends of ours'... Look at 'Sex in the City'. So much denial of any future movie after the demise of the series. But lo and behold, 'surprise - a movie!' With its success, another run of the series cannot be that far off... I can see this same scenario playing out with the Sopranos. From a movie perspective, look at the endless remaking of such titles as: Batman, Rocky, Rambo, Spiderman, Die Hard, Fast & Furious, etc The key word when discussing Hollywood is GREED. The moment HBO's financial outlook appears to be worsening, out of the woodwork will spring the ghosts of our favorite series... So, it is only a question of when, NOT if. Patience is the key to financial gain. Get the audience clamouring fore more. But make them wait for a bit. Its like the old joke: An old bull and a young bull are standing atop a big hill, overlooking a valley filled with cows. The young bull looks down at them in awe and says, "Hey! Let's run down there and @#$% one of them!" The old bull replies, "No, we'll walk down and @#$% them ALL."

No, there will not be a sopranos movie. There were not plans to make a movie out of the popular series, and the death of James Gandolfini should confirm that the show will not have a movie adaptation.
There was talk about a Sopranos movie, however no film has ever been made.

James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano - The Sopranos
yes in a later episode Varlery did appear on the Sopranos and he was killed by Tony Soprano
There was not a season 7 for The Sopranos. It had a season 6 that was split into two parts. There was talk of a movie after the series ended in 2007, but with so many characters dead (and, sadly, James Gandolfini's death in real life), it seems more unlikely than ever.
