Is there any raghav caste in kshatriyas?

Raghav surname denotes the oldest Suryavanshi Rajput clan. They enjoyed a reputation as rulers and soldiers. The Raghav population and the former Rajput states are found spread through much the subcontinent, particularly in North India and central India namely in North-East Rajasthan , Western Uttar Pradesh and parts of Madhya Pradesh & Haryana. Raghav Rajputs belong to one of the 36 Rajput Clans which is Badgujar Rajput Clan who are descendents of Lava (One of the twin sons of Shree Rama) . The name Badgujar started after “Badujjawal” , son of Lava. ( Badgujar is believed to be detriorated pronunciation of Badujjawal .) This is why they are also called Raghuvanshi as they belong to Raghukul to which Shree Ram also belonged. They are among the most revered Rajputs of ancient Bharat. The other branches of Badgujar includes : Sikarwar, Khadad, Lohtamia, Taparia, and Madhad. They constituted the main force in Haraval Tukdi (or the first line of offence in any battle in which the most capable & lionhearted warriors are kept). The Badgujars always chose to die with glory rather than to submit to the supremacy of the Muslim Invaders. Many Badgujars were put to death for not giving their daughters to Muslim rulers. This was reason why some Badgujars changed their clan name to Sikarwar to escape mass genocide carried out against them. A colony found refuge in present day Anupshahar, which was founded by Raja Anup Singh Badgujar, the eldest son of Raja Pratap Singh Badgujar. They built numerous monuments, including the famous Nilkanth temple now in the Sariska Tiger Reserve; the fort and Neelkanth Mahadev Temple at Kalinjar being Shiva Worshipers; the Amber Fort, the fort of Dausa. and many other palaces and forts at Alwar, Machari, Sawai Madhopur; ( and some monuments were already demolished by Muslim invaders ) Neelkanth was the old capital of the Badgujar clan, its old name is Rajor or Rajorgarh. And that’s why they were also called Rajoria Badgujar. One of their famous kings was Raja Pratap Singh Badgujar, who was Prithviraj Chauhan's nephew and assisted in his fight against the Muslim invaders, who were led by Muhammad of Ghor in 1191. They also fought on the side of Maharana Pratap of Mewar and Maharana Hammir as their generals. One of them, Raja Nune Shah Badgujar of the Samthar state, fought with the British and pushed back their forces many times but later signed a peace treaty with the British in 1817. Badgujar Rajputs gave way to Chahamans and Kachhwahas in Jaipur and Alwar due to their joint attack on their ruling state and they also martyred in the war with Islamic invaders in UP. So , due to their higher self esteem and dauntless attitude , they never compromised which also cost them their kingdoms either to fellow Rajput Kings or Muslim Invaders.
