There is no plan to return Firefly to television at this time (September 2014). That doesn't mean it will never happen, but it would take a lot, since the actors and the director are all in the middle of other projects.

∙ 7y agoUnfortunately no, at least not at this time. The rumor was started because of a fan-made teaser trailer.
Artist Stephen Byrne did a great job, and I think a lot of people *want* it to be true, but as with most other Firefly rumors, there is no truth behind it. Although, hey... if someone wants to actually make it happen, I am all for it. :)

∙ 9y agoThere will most likely not be anymore Firefly shows, as most of the principal cast and production crew have moved on to other projects. There was a Firefly movie called Serenity in 2005.
