No. The need for a 5 star general for the United States began during World War 2 and was stopped after the promotion of Gen. Omar Bradley. Since the Marine Corps is a part of the Department of the Navy it is very unlikely that a Marine Corps general would ever get promoted to the rank of a '5 Star' general.

There has been such thing as a 5 star general in WWII but there haven't been any since then. Altogether, there have been nine 5 star generals (four in the army, four in the navy, and one in the air force)

The five star rank insignia wasn't created until 1944. Since then, the Army has had five persons to hold the rank of General of the Army, and the Navy has had four persons to hold the Admiral of the Navy Rank. The only General of the Air Force is one of the five people to be promoted to General of the Army - Henry H. Arnold, who promoted to five stars in the Army, then transferred to the Air Force after its formation. So, your total would be nine.

The rank General of the Army predates the five star insignia by quite some time. However, I've only counted those who've been promoted to the rank since the five star insignia came into effect.

The Marines and Coast Guard have no equivalent rank. Both are administered under the Department of the Navy (although the Coast Guard falls under the Navy only in wartime).
