Is there supposebly a level 100 Magikarp or is it just a leagend?

That is a legend. Although, you can catch a Magikarp with an old rod on level 5. Then use a cheat to get numerous rare candies then you can put it on level 100. Or you can just train it to level 100, but that would take forever. Also why would you want a level 100 Magikarp when you could have a level 100 Gyarados. Gyarados is much better and is actually one of the best Pokemon is each game. So my suggestion to you is to have a level 100 Gyarados. I hoped this helped!

You can catch up to a level 100 magikarp in the lake in the resort area next to your villa. It can be any level between 1-100. It will take a while but you'll just have to be patient i didnt take me very long to get the lvl 100, i just caught it 10 minutes ago and since magikarp is a weak Pokemon it should be farely easy to catch, but be very careful not to make it faint. After about 20 minutes u could have like about 2 or 3 lvl 80's or lvl 70's. Hope I helped :) - evang9

No, It's just like an ordinary Magikarp, you can just get it earlier in the game if you buy it.

Its anywhere you can catch normal Gyarados in the wild, but its like a 1/8112 chance of finding one. Also, red gyarados' evolve from shiny magikarp at level 20 just like a normal magikarp
