I think there's only a train to Memphis and Newbern. I've been searching for a long time for a train to Nashville, and it looks like your best bet might be to either take the train into Newbern and getting a ride to Nashville from there, driving (which could take 16-24 hours), or taking a train service such as Greyhound(which probably has many stops and transfers).

Yes there is. AMTRAK serves those two cities. The Acela Express goes from South Station in Boston to Philadelphia in under six hours. And if you do not have a car, and don't want to take a train, there is regular bus service between the two cities.
