I'm not a doctor but I've given my 2 month old baby a taste of ice cream and yogurt and now I've given her some apples n blueberry baby food and she's had no problem. Do not give honey or peanut butter or anything that can cause food Allergies. I give mine very little in between breastfeedings because she has doubled her birth weight and wants few every hour from the breast so I e found the food helps keep her happy longer. It I only let her taste certain things and never replace her actual feedings she still needs the nutrients of breast or formula milk. Hope this helps! Never give babies real cows milk tho they cannot digest the milk proteins.
No. Cereals should be introduced in a thin form at about this age. You can mix rice cereal with formula to make a thicker milk for baby. Use a cross cut nipple on the bottle or it will clog any other nipple.
approximately every 3-4hours although all babies are different and it will also depend how big they were at birth, if they were born early / late etc. A week or two and a couple of pounds in weight can make a big difference to their feeding habits.
4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours.
Your newborn should be nursing 8 to 12 times per day for about the first month.
As a baby they should eat weekly, as adults every 2-3 weeks.
An 8 month baby should be eating quite alot. It depends on the baby though. They should be eating baby cereal and oatmeal, and the very famous Gerber Puree Baby Food frequently throughout the day. Baby's by now should have roughly 5-6 teeth and should stick to smooth warm food.
