Is using an ein number legal to obtain credit and not use your personal score?

IF you disclose everything including the fact that you are substituting a EIN in place of a social and it is accepted then yes. If you are applying for Business credit with the EIN and everything is disclosed truthfully then yes. If you are misrepresenting/misleading you are probably committing fraud. There are alot of people adding their names onto seasoned accounts with new EIN numbers to get a credit score and then proceeding to apply for new credit. Keep in mind that if you default, you will most likely get caught and could get in serious legal/criminal trouble.
