I have had the Implanon implant for 2.5 yrs now with no periods during this time I have now had a very heavy period for 3 weeks is this normal?

Having a period for 3 weeks is never normal (particularly heavy). Please make an appointment to see your gynecologist.

Is the implanon implant sore?
My implanon implant is sore. I have only very recently had it implanted but the end of the plastic tube which was the end last to enter my skin seems to protrude. It is not sticking out of the skin but the skin is bulging over it. This means it is sore when I flex my arm or touch the bulge. I don't know if it is normal or not and I am hoping that it will calm down in a few days. In the mean time I am not doing any exercises that require the flexing of biceps and I whince a lot.
