- I just installed a new timing CHAIN on my 1997 Pontiac Transport that has a 3400 engine in it. If you get the kit at autozone that comes with the gears and new gaskets it only cost me $ 45.00.
Check the viscosity of your transmission fluid, then ask what's appropriate weight for transmission fluid in your area.
It is inside the fuel tank. You have to remove the entire tank to replace it. I just did mine and it cost $1350!
The filter is located inside the transmission just inside the bottom pan.
i just want to know how to remove the flywheel on a 1007 Grand AM Pontiac
Its easier from the bottom (just make sure you use a engine support bar to hold the engine)
NO - just the automatics use the transmission coolers
Just above the strut top, passenger side under the hood
its located just above the transmission pan usually on the back side of transmission
Located in the empty cavity just in front of the fuel tank, next to the "rame"rail.
True, just the line pressure is lower!
The transmission fluid plug on a 997 540-I is located on the passenger side of the transmission, toward the rear just above the pan.
i think that u need to drop the transmission just like the 94 accord
yes it will as long as they both are overdrive transmissions i just did it two weeks ago
It sounds like the transmission shifter linkage is disconnected.
just take the screws out of the wheel well that hold the plastic shroud in place reach in and grab the bulb base and turn aquarter turn and pull repeat same on other side i just did this sept 27 2004
Your 1997 Mercury Mountaineer came from the factory with ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) in your 4R70W automatic transmission ( the type that you are supposed to use should be engraved in your automatic transmission fluid dipstick just to confirm )
on the rear of the engine just below the coils
There is a screw-in plug about the size of a quarter where the transmission connects to the engine. There is no dipstick, you just add fluid until you can't add any more.
I read on a forum where a guy just used a little screwdriver to open the lock mechanism, and then just lifted the gate open. It just might work.
the frame that holds the window in is bent and you have to change the whole inside of the door not just the frame.
Try removing the radio fuse under the hood for 30 seconds then replace it back,The computer will reprogram itself and the door should start working.
Just to the front and side of the brake master cylinder
I have just recently got my transmission repaired along with the gear ratios recalibrated for $900
If you are just servicing the transmission(filter change) then approximately 3 1/2 litters.
