Knights used many different kinds of weapons. They included lances, swords, maces, flails or morning stars, one hand axes, war picks, and a large number of others. Sometimes knights would dismount and fight with the archers, protecting them from cavalry, and in such cases, knights would use halberds, pikes, and bills, which they could not normally use from horseback.
