The biggest bass caught in Florida was by Fritz Friebel in the 1920's. The bass weighed 20 lb 2oz and was considered the previous world record before George Perry's 22lb 4oz in 1932. I have read reports that it was caught in "Big Fish Lake" or "Moody Lake". It is not considered the official record because it was not recorded according to our current stringent standards. However it was recorded using certified scales, and I have seen an old picture and it is definitely a 20lb class fish. The current official record is somewhere just over 17 pounds. Hope this helps...
