I remember that the first version of Visual Basic (1) was developed for DOS systems.
I have purchased the version 2 for Windows 3.1 (only 2 floppy disks!) that was quickly replaced with version 3 on the market.
2005, 2006, 2008, .net framework, visual STUDIO.

But with .NET-Framework it is

I believe it is Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition. Which is also known as Vb .net It is free to download from the Microsoft website
6 in total, Microsoft Visual Basic 1.0 was released in 1991, version 2.0 was released in 1992, version 3.0 was released in 1993. 4.0 through to 6.0 were released between 1995 and 1998.

2010
Visual Basic Express Edition 2010 is a free version available from the msdn website (just use a search engine for it) and will allow you to do almost all the functions of the professional version.
You said Visual Studio 2010 but does it have the BASIC language.
Visual studio is a collection of different language compiler, whereas visual basic is just a single language. Visual studio express edition can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com/express A visual basic programmer uses visual studio to write and compile visual basic programs.
Visual Basic Controls work on Visual Studio for Visual Basic and Applications that made by Visual Basic.
The final supported version was Visual Basic 6.0. Since then (1998~2008?) a langauge called Visual Basic .NET has joined the .NET framework. This is basically a complete redesign/reimplementation of the language for the new framework. Microsoft has even kept the VB version numbers in sequence with the original. The latest version of this language is Visual Basic 2008 (VB 9.0).
Visual Basic 2005 is actually a version of VB.NET (v8.0). The latest version (9.0) is Visual Basic 2008.
How to learn visual basic online
As for now (June 2011), the latest version is VB10.
The language you need to know is called "visual Basic" (what a surprise!) and there is a tutorial actually on visual basic 2008 express edition
