Well, if the bulb is working, you might have a dirty connection either at the bulb plug, or there might be a loose ground somewhere. Sadly, I'm not sure where that system grounds. I'd carefully unplug the lamp (don't touch the glass with your fingers .... skin oil can destroy them) and shoot some WD-40 into the socket to clean it out and try again.
Also, as your car is an older model like mine, it may be that your headlight cover is frosted over, blocking some of the light emitted. When I had a lamp burn out, I replaced both sides with factory replacements. They were not bright enough due to that frosting over effect. I had to replace the new lamps with brighter than standard lamps. It helped, but not as much as replacing the headlight cover would.
it could be you headlite switch or a broken wire under ur car
Well if the fuse is good, it could be a blown bulb. If the bulbs are good. Check you headlight switch.
I'm guessing that all of the light bulbs have been checked and are good. It's possible that you need to replace the flasher.
It Most Likely Is That One Or More Of Your Bulbs Are Blown. Check Rear Left & Right First. Then Front. GOOD LUCK It Most Likely Is That One Or More Of Your Bulbs Are Blown. Cool I have a 95. If if in rear, just "unscrew" the little plastic wing looking things around the back tailight trim...pop out the WHOLE trim thing, and find the bulb not working, replace it, pop it all back in, put the wingy things back on tighten them up...done. If in the front, I think you can just pop open the hood, look in there next to the headlite "bulbs" so cool they are...and you should be able to replace there. good luck.
Have a look at this webpage; http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/1995-to-2005-pontiac-sunfire-6.htm It has a pretty good history of Sunfire changes and options. FriPilot
Check th heasdlight relay and also for cut/broken wires.
Why the hi beam and day light are not working but the low beam are working good on sunfire 99?
