Types of Visas.
1. Single-entry and double-entry visa
2. Multiple-entry visas
3. Transit visas
4. Business visas
A single-entry or double entry visa means you can enter Tanzania only once or twice respectively in the duration (three or six months) that your visa is valid. If you wish to extend your stay or exit Tanzania more than your visa allows, then a new visa should be obtained. Single and double entry visas can be bought at the point of entry (border, airport etc) OR before departure from a Tanzanian Embassy, consulate or high commission.
A multiple-entry visa means that you can enter Tanzania more than two times. It is relatively harder to obtain a multiple entry visa.
A transit visa means that you are allowed to pass through Tanzania from one point of entry to another within a fixed period of time.
A business visa means that you are allowed to stay in Tanzania for business purposes for example, starting a business, investing etc.
