Germany was accused of starting WW1 so the league of nations(now known as the United Nations)took away Germanys armed forces which ruined the economy. Germany finally took action by crossing the Rhine river into what was originally there land. The invasion made the L.N(league of nations) Germany barely evaded this from starting the war by convincing the L.N that they were just taking back what was rightful theirs. Shortly after, the Germans invaded Poland and austria which caused some of the L.N to go to war. Although Russia, the U.S and other countries did not join seeing this was not there fight. WW2 still technically not begin because only Central and Western Europe Were fighting. While this whole European war began German U-Boats (German Submarines) Wrecked havoc on cargo and trade ships coming from the U.S to Europe and Vice Versa. The U.S although furious did not start a war because of public opinion. Japan was also invading west into Asia but China simply pushed them out and did not try to invade. Japan then attempted to push elsewhere so in 1941 they attacked pearl harbor which contained a majority of the U.S Pacific fleet. 2 ships sunk to the bottom of the harbor. The USS Arizona still remains at the bottom with 1000 dead sailors bodies. Several more ships were damaged, several navy sailors and civilians were killed and many planes were destroyed. The next day the President declared war. WW2 still did not exist because many countries still were not fighting. That was the purpose of the Doolittle Raid. The Doolittle Raid was planned to bomb Japans industrial center. 16 B17 bombed Japan an then crash landed in China. This caused many other countries to believe they did stand a chance and they joined the war and then WW2 broke out.

Minor edit here: What finally caused the breakout of World War 2 was the German invasion of Poland and via the secret pact between Stalin and Hitler the Soviet invasion of eastern Poland. This ended the any hope of England & France of protecting Poland. On September 3rd the British & the French declared war on Germany. This was the prelude to the quick ending of France's participation in the war.

Well, it happened like dominoes. Hilter wanted to take over a country ( can't remember the name of that country so lets call it country 1.) but that country fought back and asked another nation for help ( country 2). Hitler then fought both countries and managed to invade and take over country 1.
