on the 3.1, it is under Power Steering pump. remove pump set aside ,do not remove hoses.once removed sensor is reachable!! there should be one bolt to hold sensor in!!
where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 monte carlo
its located behind the power steering pump...you would have to remove the power steering pump to access it
right behind and below the power steering pump on the block.
The crankshaft position sensor for the 1995 Monte Carlo is located on the front of the engine. It is just to the right of where the crankshaft comes out of the engine.
It is located in the transmission
Depends on the engine. On the 3.1 and 3.4 it is located on the front of the engine, up top, but below the power steering reservoir. The connector for the sensor is located behind the alternator. On the 3800 it is located in the front cover above the crank balancer pulley.
no speed sensor is on passenger side on transmission also . I have a hanyes book!
Here is an excellent diagram, includes location and replacement instructions: http://www.justanswer.com/questions/29v0n-how-do-you-change-a-speed-sensor-in-a-2005-chevy-carlo
i do believe that the camshaft sensor on the 3100 v6 motor is on the passeger side of the motor underneath the intake manifold and under the powersteering pump. i needed to replace the one on my 1996 lumina with that same motor and that's where i fould it. hope this helps.
Back of the engine block, underneath the coilpack.
The IAT sensor is located on the rubber bellow after the air filter box. It is the small sensor you see plugged into the air bellow.
more than likely if it's not idling right you need to change the TPS sensor, (throttle position sensor).
