Trick question there is no 2004 Pontiac sunbird. 1994 sunbirds which is the last year have the oil filter by the right side wheel well, this is similar for the "Sunfire" of later years.
I have a 2004 silhouette van and the filters are deep in the glove compartment.. yours might be in there also.

The Oil Filter is on the top of the engine, to the left of the valve cover. It has a plastic cap that can be wrenched off. The Oil Filter is not a sealed filter that you are used to seeing. It drops in where you removed the black cap.

In a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire, there are two oxygen sensors. One would be located in the exhaust before the catalytic converter. The other is located in the exhaust after the catalytic converter.
== == The black cover that holds the oil filter is accessed form on top - under the hood. Down about half way down the engine. See link below for a pic....... it is a cartridge type filter you will have to unscrew a black plug near wehre you fill the oil.
4 quarts. 5 if you have the ecotec engine.
