Their use of words can portray a completely different meaning....for example you can describe someones weight as skinny, slim, anearoxic, or slender. These mean the same thing but if you were admiring someone you would say they were slender or slim. if you were critisising someone you would say they were skinny or anearoxic.

The meaning of the poem can also be seen in different ways, take Carol Ann Duffy's poems for example,

I recomend you read some of them, especially Anne Hathaway, its very meaningful
