Software requires a specific operating system to work with a computer. Software designed to work with the Windows operating system will not work with Mac OS X and vice versa. You cannot burn an installed application onto a DVD and expect it to work elsewhere. The installation process sets up many files and makes many changes to the computer to enable it to work. So unless you have the original installation CDs, there is no point in trying to burn Microsoft Word from an installed version. On each new computer Microsoft Word has to be installed or else it will not work.
