what is your weakness
My altmost weakness is my eagerness to always have the job finished and efficiently most often at the expence of my time and energy. But I am working on that-partially based on my Doctors advise- for this can affect my health to the detriment of my Employer.
Another perspective:
The answer above is obviously a strength disguised as a weekness. The motivation to give that kind of response is to give the prospective employer the impression that you have no real weaknesses. That might work with some interviewers, but others might be checking to see whether you give an honest answer, based on the assumption that EVERYBODY has weaknesses.
He might also want to know whether you will name a weakness that impacts the job at hand. For example, if your weakness is that you get emotionally worn down when talking to person after person and switching from topic to topic, you would not make a good receptionist; but you might be a fantastic accounting auditor. If you get bored with numbers and details, the opposite would be true.
