There can be no doubt about it: World War II. If you mean wars just in the United States the answer would be the Revolutionary War and The Civil war. Without the Revolutionary war we would still be owned and ruled by the United Kingdom.

The famous war in the United States are Revolutionary War, Civil War, and World War II.

This is an opinion question and reasonable cases could be made for almost any war or conflict in which the United States has been involved. Every event in history has both short and long term consequences, both known and unforseen.

The biggest war in the American history is the Civil War. This war has the biggest number of American people died, more than any other war in the American history. Also in this war Americans fought Americans and that was the worst part of it.But at the end it had a major consequence the slavery was abolished forever in the USA.

Over 360,000 Union soldiers died, and 259,000 Confederates. Many were not battle deaths, but diseases that ran rampant through the camps. Also, lost in this are the numbers of innocent civilians killed in the south, by Union forces. Over 5800 civilians were killed in Georgia alone, and an additional 25,000 in the other southern states. Many also starved because of Union atrocities to the civilian populace, estimated to be nearly 75,000 people, many former slaves.
