My 2004 BMW 530i w smg transmission will not let me restart the transmission warning message came on while i was driving at low speedi turned car off now cannot restart since it won't go to neutral?

Yours apparently works the same was as mine. Mine has to be in neutral to restart it. You would think you could pull in the clutch and restart from there but mine wont. So i guess yes.

You can restart the transmission computer, on your 1996 Ford, by removing the transmission, computer fuse. Keep the fuse out for 10 seconds and replace it to its original slot.
