Walmart is pretty reliable. Most dealers are reliable and most independents. Avoid chain lube shops such as Jiffy Lube.

Where does the transmission fluid go and what kind does a 1986 Pontiac Fiero 4 speed need?

The lube is added on the upper side of the transmission under the car. The type lube it uses, is listed in your owners manual. I'd remove the VSS (speedometer) housing, and pour it in here. Be care and pull it straight up so you don't knock the gear off and into the tranny. There should be a oil full line on the housing. It uses 5W-30 motor oil.

1984 Pontiac fiero clutch pedal is hard?

if you have already tried to spray lube where the clutch pedal pivots, it is possible that when someone removed the engine the slave cylinder line was pinched or kinked. It is also possible that someone has jacked up the drivers side rocker panel and pinched the line there. try following the line from the slave all the way up to the front. If nothing is visible then it may be the shaft the clutch moves on which requires the removal of the transmission to inspect.

Why is your 5 speed manual trans is hard to put into to any gear?

Check your fluid level, the synchro's are not working, and it may be because theres no lube.
