Check the sound plug-ins from the Xbox 360 to your TV. Un-plug them and re-plug them, see if that works. If not reverse the plugs (should be two audio ones) and try again. If that doesn't work, see if you can borrow someone's to check and see if it is the cable. If that doesn't work send your 360 into Microsoft for a check-up.

∙ 12y agoThis may be a AV (or HDMI) trouble. Make sure you have correctly inserted your chosen cable.
If you are using the normal HDTV cable, you will find 2 other colors, green and blue. This is only the video, you will need then to put all other colors, yellow, white and red.
There is a option within the xbox system which allows you to change sound settings, make sure all settings are correct.

Your component cable may be fried. I'd recommend messing about with the cables a little, and if worst comes to worst, you may have to buy a new component or HDMI cable. You could also try playing the sound through a separate source if possible?

On xbox 360 i have YPbPr plugged in but no sound i know the red and white are for sound but i have no slot for them but i do have a scart slot if i try scart the picture is not good?
There should be a little square hole at the end that plugs into the Xbox 360. This is for an optical audio cable that hooks to a surround amp.
