Is an Intel Celeron processor a dual core processor?
There are Celeron dual core processors today. However, just because you have Celeron processor, it does not mean your Celeron processor is a dual core processor. The easiest way to tell is to look at the Intel sticker on your computer. If it says "Dual Core," then it is dual core. If it does NOT say "Dual Core," then it is not dual core.

When choosing a game that requires 3GHZ processor and one has a dual core processor of 2.3GHZ does this count as 4.6GHZ meaning that the game can be played?
Two things here: 1. No, a dual-core processor does not "count" as 2x the clock speed. If you disable one of the cores on a dual-core processor, the chips will still run at the same clockspeed, and will perform about the same on single-threaded applications, like most games. 2. Most processors these days are dual-core, and they are more efficient and faster than older single-core chips, even though they have a lower clockspeed. Your probably requires a 3 GHz Pentium 4, and you have a newer and faster processor than that.
