Meteors don't have names; they are transient, burning up in the atmosphere. They are gone in a second or two.

If it survives, some meteorites are given names, usually related to the location of the fall.

Comets are celestial bodies like planets revolving around the Sun. But their revolving paths are very different. And they appear once in a life time. They seem to be independent of our celestial theories to go round and round outside the solar system and come back with lots of primitive life forms to implant on our Earth.

Most comets orbit the Sun. Perhaps you mean what is the name of one of these comets, if so Halley's Comet or Comet Halley (officially designated 1P/Halley) is the most famous of the periodic comets which comes near the Sun every 75-76 years.

There are two types of comet, short period and long period. Short period comets complete one orbit of the sun in less than 200 years, long period in more.
