Jupiter consists of hydrogen and helium (primarily) like the Sun. It has a host of satellites in orbit around its equatorial plane. The sun has natural satellites (planets) that orbit its equatorial plane.

Well, they both are very bright, hot, and luminous stars. Also they might be the same type of star in about 7.5 billion years because the sun will eventually turn into a red giant. They both can look yellow because a red giant can be orange, red, or yellow. But people think that the sun looks yellow but it is actually white.
