The 327 cubic inch Chevrolet's distributor had points and condenser and not an ignition module. If you have an ignition module then you have a HEI distributor that was changed out.

Installing the distributor, rotate the coil cap to point to the number one spark plug wire on the distributor cap. The number one plug is, as you are facing the front of the engene 1st one on the driver side. First step is to rotate the engene to where the number one piston is in it most high position.
