Lorenzo de Medici, prominent during Italian Renaissance, was also known as Lorenzo the Magnificient (Lorenzo il Magnifico). He should not be confused with his second cousin, Lorenzo de Pierfrancesco de Medici who was also known as Lorenzo the Popular (Lorenzo il Popolano).
