Night stands for peacefulness, and not darkness. night can be and usually is calm and soothing, with the moon's glow and the star's light i have to try hard not to smile. night is not scary like people believe, and it is not equal to emptiness, loneliness, and/or evil. it is a place and/or time where/when somebody can be themselves and nobody can see, and they won't be made fun of. beautiful creatures roam the night, such as the owl and wolf. both beautiful, but misunderstood animals. so in conclusion: night symbolizes peace, love, independence, and beauty. NOT evil, emptiness, or darkness.
^^Dont know who wrote that but clearly they didnt read the question thoroughly.

These birds serve as a reminder of the urgency and limitations of Romeo and Juliet's love.
