A person who is unable to respect the opinions of others may be described as intolerant, to say the least. Other adjectives such as "narrow minded" or "bigoted" are also appropriate. The ultimate form of this type of behaviour is "megalomania", a complete and delusional obsession with one's own thoughts and behaviour demonstrated by such people as Adolph Hitler, Idi Amin and more recently, Saddam Hussein.
Triumphalism
You should only use your own.
Teachers are human and all humans have their own idea of how the world started. If it can't be proven, then people will rely on their own beliefs as truth.
A:Your parents need time to adjust to the idea that you have adopted a religious belief different to theirs, and come to accept that you have the right to choose your own belief system or even non-belief. It is best if you do not try to convert them, as this will only reinforce in their minds that you have indeed been brainwashed. As someone who is comfortable in your religion, you will be able to show that not only do you hope for their acceptance, but also accept their beliefs (or non-beliefs).
well for a start they could stop being so close-minded about religion and accept that everyone has their own beliefs
I have never heard of such a thing??? If you own the property why would you need anyones authorization???
If you do not put yourself under the microscope and really analyze your own beliefs, then you have no reason to hold them in the first place. Over time, you should be able to refine and discover what your actual beliefs are as you learn.
Also known as "narrow minded", a person that is not able to accept any other views other than his own.
Everyone have their own beliefs and have their own understandings. Its everyone's individual responsibility to realize what is right and what is wrong.
"I will accept whatever weather we get that day, whetherI like it or not, but I would rather be able to pick my own weather".
· Being aware of own personal attitudes and beliefs, · being open and Understanding to others attitudes and beliefs · respecting the differences between own and others
that would depend on the persons own beliefs and the beliefs of the people who have the say on the holy ground, they are both christian beliefs with similar ideals, why not?? that would depend on the persons own beliefs and the beliefs of the people who have the say on the holy ground, they are both christian beliefs with similar ideals, why not??
Well, it depends on how your parents took it the first time. If your parents were understanding in your choice, then you have no problem. However, if your parents were in denial, then I suggest you prepare a speech or letter and call a family meeting. While the family meeting begins, you tell your parents. You state why that you are Atheist and tell them that either they accept the fact that your different or they can continue to "exile" you for the rest of your life. I believe that even at the teenage years, you should be able to make your own choices. If your parents still do not accept you, then go about your life and every time they ask you what you believe in, tell them you are still atheist. But be warned, sometimes parents that do not accept your beliefs may try to convert you back to whatever religion you were or they are, do not sell out your beliefs.
