Hey Harry==It is probably the wiring or the drivers door switch. It will have to be checked out. GoodluckJoe Check wiring harness first...After buying new 4 button door switch(83$) I found out the wiring harness between front door and door jam has a broken wire . This was on a Buick regal 2000. Some 2000 buick lesabres have a "child safety" switch on the driver side door panel which, if activated, will cause this symptom. I am not aware that ALL lesabres have this switch but I would bet that all lesabres are "wired the same so if this switch is not present then a good guess is that the problem can still be found inside the front door panel.
