On a 2001 Jetta Front drivers side directional How do you pop open the cover to get to the bulbThere is a tab but moving it up or down does not seem to open it?

You have to take off the battery top cover then the plastic piece held on by two screws that are above the headlight box. Push down on the tab that covers the rear of the turn signal compartment. Pulling up will break the tab that holds it in place. I needed to take a screw driver gently removing the cover as I help down the tab.
