add water or anti-freeze coolant
Your Accord is overheating. The fan is running to try and cool the engine off. seek professional help immediately before you destroy the engine.
It's very possible. I would definitely take it to a mechanic and get their opinion. Burning smells and smoke can be a sign of overheating, which can severely damage your motor.
found out it was the oil pressure switch dripping down on to exhaust pipe collecting on heat shield, thanx anyway
white smoke coming from my tailpipe of my Honda civix lx 1997?
No, any smoke is coming from the engine. No, any smoke is coming from the engine.
oil leaked past the rings and into the cylinder, when you started your vehicle, that oil burned off
White smoke = Coolant entering the combustion chamber. Critical that you stop driving the car and have this repaired. Normally a blown head gasket. Blue smoke = Engine burning oil. Black smoke = Overly rich fuel/air mixture.
stress
Black smoke is an indication of an overly rich fuel/air mixture. Your check engine light should be on with this condition. You can ruin the O2 sensor and the catalytic converter if you do not get this repaired ASAP.
White smoke = Coolant entering the combustion chamber which is more than likely caused by a blown head gasket. Blue smoke = Burning oil which is caused by a worn engine. Black smoke = Overly rich fuel/air mixture.
Sounds like a cracked Head or Block.
If a Honda Accord is smoking when the gas is pressed down than it is possibly running to rich. The car will need to be checked to see if to much fuel is being fired by the injectors.
