You try pushing on the brakes while trying to put it in drive?

I have a 2003 Altima that while traveling under 35 mph might shut down. Nissan says it is the crank shaft angle sensor thingy. Nissan will repair for $215.00 or your local mech. will do it for $191.00...KNOWN problem but no recall!
It might have run out of gas.
The 2005 Nissan Altima auto tensioner pulley can be removed by removing the center bolt. You will need to hold the pulley stationary while you loosen the bolt.
A 2009 Altima ranges from 23 to 32 miles per gallon, while a 2010 Nissan Altima V6 gets between 18 MPG (city) to 27 MPG (highway). The 2010 Altima Hybrid's mileage per gallon goes from 42 to 36. The 4-cylinder 2010 Nissan Altima gets 23 city MPG and 32 highway MPG. The Altima hybrid gets 35 city MPG and 33 highway MPG. The Altima's start at $19,900.

While looking under the hood it will be on the right side of middle of the car attached to the firewall.
while standing in the front of car facing motor it is the 1st cylinder to the left
The maxima is a 3.0L while the altima is only a 2.4L. While the maxima only has 5-10 more horsepower, its extra cubic inches goes more twords torque. I would say maxima hands down. I personally have a 92 maxima, and it is not at all slow.
After some research it is discovered that while some reviews advise to stay away from certain models of Nissan cars such as Nissan Xterra, other reviews show that in the top 10 the Nissan Maxima and Nissan Altima were the top two cars for reliability.
You can fit it, but it will effect your driving. while turning it will tough tha malguards.
One way to tell if the timing chain is broken on your Nissan Altima is to see if it will start. If it starts, it is not the timing chain. You can also remove the distributor cap, have someone step on the gas while you watch the engine. If the rotor moves, it is not the timing chain.
place a latex condom over brake pedal and that should do the trick
pushing a gas pedal on a fuel injection engine- (while starting) you just don;t push the gas pedal on a fuel injection engine.
Bad sensor have it checked. Depending on the sensor you won't have any real problems for a while
I have a 2005 Nissan altima and it use to do that until I replaced the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, have not had that problem since. The crankshaft sensor is real easy to replace. The camshaft is a little more difficult but can be done, I would recommend you trying it yourself. The sensors I got from autozone and paid about $35 a piece and safe a lot in labor charges.
have you got the sterring lock on Maybe you forgot to push your brake -pedal. While pushing your shift handle will move.
pride and joy by Stevie ray vaughn, I'm not sure if that's the one your looking for, but I've been looking for a while now.
while in "N" with foot on the brake pedal. shift the transfer case into 4wh then press down on shifter to shift into 4wl
if is manual transmission you can, by pushing the car down a hill and suddenly pulling the clutch while the car is on 2nd gear
reset code by turning the screw on the computer, under the radio center consol by the gas pedal all the way to clockwise then back counter clockwise do this while the car is on but not running if it takes the light should go out if you pause while turning you will go into diagnostic mode 5 short then 5 long flash show alls well.
