On a john deere 265 how can you get the trans axle in neutral to push it?

At the rear of the Tractor you push the lever from left to right, it can be a little tough, once you have push it far enough the unit can be pushed, make sure the brake is not in the locked position. I had several friends help me load mine into a truck we had one person just to hold the lever it was hard to pull it over but it did work

∙ 14y agoFrom the back side of the tractor on the transaxle, just left of center on top of the transaxle is what looks like a lever. Push it down and the transaxle with unlock and the tractor will be pushable.
