yes, some did. it was freezing out there, and if it wasn't for the cold of the waters it was the cold in the air. the people who drowned probably went numb as son as they hit the water.

Salt water actually freezes at a lower temperature than fresh water so the water was actually below 32 Degrees F.

Virtually everybody did, as opposed to drowning. If there were anybody dry in the hull when she sank, their ears would have burst inwards from pressure in the first minute.

Yes, most of the people on the titanic did die. The water they fell in was so cold that it caused hypothermia and they never got a chance to escape from it.
