Federalists wanted a strong government, taxes to support the government, and liked banks. Republican party were for the farmers who did not want a strong government or lots of taxes.

The only similarities I can think of is that they both wanted what they believed to be best for the nation, and they both believed this could be achieved through a representative democracy.

A guerrilla is an irregular fighter, who fight against his own goverment. A partisan is an irregular soldier, who fight against regular troups from another country in his own country.
