During phagocytosis, the phagocyte is involved with engulfing a smaller particle of organism (or another cell). There is no passive or active transport as such.

The process involved enveloping the smaller particle with the cell membrane of the host and bringing it into its interior. There is no diffusion or related passive process involved.
