Most common cause of that is, Bad spark plug/plugs or plug wires, I think you will find your problem in that area.

The Bower Relay on my 97 jeep Cherokee xj is located behind the glovebox. The glove box will hinge down allowing access to the relay by removing the rubber stops on the glove box opening. The relay is attached in plain sight to a plug with about five wires.
