What is tmcr bmcr conditions of thermal power plant?

BMCR is the boiler maximum continous rating .It is that the maximum temperature , steam flow or the pressure that is used to generate full load or the bolier can withstand.TMCR is the turbine maximum continous rating .It is that the maximum temperature , steam flow or the pressure that the turbine requires for generating full loadNOTE:BMCR WILL BE MORE COMPARED TO TMCR

What equipments are used for wellhead maintenance?

General equipment are : Hydraulic tool to open and tight studs, grease pump, stinger to check pressure in the cavities, VR plug lubricator, BPV lubricator, air compressor, heavy grease hand pump, hand pump, BPV, TWCV. Grease, Ring gaskets, bearing grease pump ...

What is the difference between valve and control-valve?

Control valve: Used to modify flow rate in a process control system. It has characterization: linear, equal percentage and quick opening Pressure inlet must be higher than the output pressure Regulator:Diapghram operating valve which controls outlet pressure (reducing application),control inlet pressure (back pressure) or either (differential reducing and differential relief applications

What is the difference between impeller and propeller vanes?

An impeller is a rotor inside a pump through which the liquid flows to create a pressure gradient.A propeller is used to propel a vessel. In pump impeller liquid moves i.e. pump is stationary. In a vessel propeller the vessel moves through a liquid or gas!@ please iwant to know the physical meaning of NPSHNet Positive Suction Head

Can control valves be used to increase the pressure of fluid in a flow line?

yes but not the volume

What is difference between fuel pump relay and compressor relay?

Pump relay is used to increase the pressure of incompressible fluids (i.e., density is constant for change in pressure) Compressor relay is used to compress the pressure of compressible fluids (i.e.,density varies with pressure)

What is a hydraulic ram used for?

A hydraulic ram is a cyclic water pump which utilises hydropower. It can be used as a low head hydropower source in order to generate electricity or it can be used to pump water from a low source to a higher destination. A hydraulic ram takes in water at one pressure and flow rate, and outputs it at a higher pressure and lower flow rate. It is sometimes used in remote areas where there is a source of low pressure and a need to pump water to a higher elevation than the source.

Where are the screw pumps used?

WIDELY USED IN FLUID PUMP AND AIR COMPRESSORS- WHEREIN NOISE REDUCTION IS REQUIRED AND CONSTANT(STEADY FLOW) LOADING OF PRESSURE.

Why is used the balancing line in boiler feed pump and its direction of flow?

In boiler feed pumps usually the discharge pressure is 20 to 30 times tie suction Pressure so to protect the pump balancing line is given from discharge to suction.

Can a pressure washer be used as a water pump?

Yes, but not very well. The small pump within a pressure washer is designed to PUSH water, not pull it- and the rate of flow is very small. It would pump a long time to move a major amount of water. The pump will also not handle dirty water very well.

On delivery side of a pump can you put a gate valve to control the flow of water as the pump is high head but it has to be used in place where that much head is not available?

Some definitions may be useful first: A pump has "feed" and "delivery" pipes. For a pump used in a water heating system the same pipes are often called "return and "flow" pipes. If the pump was designed to produce a high delivery (= flow) pressure (= a high output head) then why would you want to reduce that high delivery pressure by using a gate valve? Really, that just doesn't make sense because the pump would just end up making a lot of noise - and wasting electrical energy. If you don't need the high pressure/head then it is better practice to use a pump designed to produce a lower delivery pressure. On the other hand, if the pump was designed to operate with a high pressure (= a high head) on the "feed" side then why, if the available input pressure is already low ( = input head is not high) would you want to reduce that low input pressure even more by using a gate valve? Really, that just doesn't make sense either. In general, if the required delivery pressure is low it is best to use a pump designed to handle a low head. Similarly, if the required delivery pressure is high it is best to use a pump designed to handle a high head.Note about Gate Valves:Gate valves are intended to be used either* fully open for normal operating conditions or* fully closed to shut off the flow of fluid completely, to allow maintenance or replacement work to be done on the pump or its pipework.Gate valves can be used as crude "flow control" valves but they are very inefficient at giving accurate, smooth changes in flow because they were not designed to be used for that purpose. To get from full flow to half or quarter flow or less you will end up having to make tiny adjustments just before the point where the gate valve shuts off completely.

What is the pressure switch on the power steering pump used for?

the pressure switch sends a signal to the ecm[computer] when you turn to increase engine rpm a small amount to make up for power loss.

What establishes the amount of pressure a hydraulic pump will generate?

Hydraulic pumps do not develop pressure. Pumps can only develop flow. To obtain pressure in an hydraulic system, restriction to flow must be introduced. In order to control pressure, pressure relief valves are used. These valves, simply put, employ spring pressure acting on a check ball that resists the flow of oil. Most pressure relief valves are adjustable within a given range so that system pressure is also adjustable.

Which is used to measure the pressure in laminar air flow?

Name an adrenergic drug?

used to increase the output of the heart, to raise blood pressure, and to increase urine flow as part of the treatment of shock. Adrenergics are also used as heart stimulants. They may be given to a patient to reverse the drop in blood pressure

How do you increase pressure in a de filter pool current pressure is 24.5 psi and needs to be at 25.5 for the filter to come on?

Sounds kind of crazy but I've seen it done. Place something in the bottom of the skimmer basket attached to the pump. This person used some large leaves ( like red oak) and because the leaves where only slightly inhibiting the water flow, the pump pressure increased. The leaves don't dissolve and don't get into the impeller either. Cheap and crazy but it worked!
